According to Zillow’s report, “when a beverage center is mentioned in a for-sale home’s listing description, that home can sell for 2.4% more, compared to 0.9% more for a wine fridge.” 

Heated Floors 

When you think of a luxurious home—one that’s not only pleasant to spend time in but that you don’t want to leave—it’s very possible that heated floors come to mind. The winters are cold enough as it is, and having freezing feet while brushing your teeth in the morning doesn’t help. “Buyers are willing to pay 1.6% more than expected for a home that has radiant heating under foot,” Zillow’s report reads.

Soapstone Countertops 

Countertops are some of the most important aspects of a kitchen to consider when you’re renovating or preparing to sell. Quartz and marble had their moment, but it seems that soapstone is the countertop of choice today. It’s expensive but non-porous—and it’s totally worth it, helping “a home sell for 3% more than expected, compared to a 1.7% price premium for quartz and 0.5% for marble countertops.”

Induction Cooktops

We know that gas ranges aren’t the best for our lungs, the environment, efficiency while cooking, and ease while cleaning. That’s part of the reason adding an induction cooktop can bring you more money when investing in your home, along with purer air and more peace of mind. According to Zillow, it “can contribute to a 1.5% sale premium when mentioned in a listing description.”
