At Dior Cruise 2025, Fluffy Brows Are the Star of the Show

Dior runways always serve up beauty inspiration for the season ahead—but they also always lean toward the minimal. Though recent shows have seen plenty of black eyeliner—used on both lids and lips—what Dior truly excels at is making natural, luminous makeup look entirely effortless. Monday’s Cruise 2025 show in Scotland was no exception.

At the Drummond Castle in Perthshire, the same town where Christian Dior held shows in the early 1950s, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri showed a magical collection full of tartan plaid dresses, rich velvet, Harris tweed, and leather-cinched waists. Though Chiuri and Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Makeup, are both fans of using black eyeliner, that would have read too tough here, with the punkish clothes. Instead, Philips created “a pure and luminous complexion,” focusing on brushed-up brows and smooth, plump lips.

Philips first prepped the models’ skin with Dior Capture Totale Le Sérum and Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot. “Next, I blurred the complexion with Dior Forever Glow Star Filter. I then applied the Dior Forever Glow Maximizer, which highlights the skin with a shimmer effect and provides lots of light,” Philips says. “Lastly, I evened out the complexion with the Dior Forever Skin Glow and added touch-ups with the Dior Forever Skin Correct.”

The models’ fluffy, laminated-looking brows were courtesy of the Diorshow Brow Styler and the Diorshow On Set Brow, whereas their lips had on nothing more than a swipe of lip balm—Rouge Dior Baume in #000 Diornatural, to be exact. Their nails were painted a sheer beige, Dior Vernis in #108 Muguet, which is currently wait-listed on the brand’s site.

The hair was equally as beautiful. Models with long hair had it parted down the center, slicked back, and braided with touches of interwoven golden threads. Some looks also saw the addition of a black netted face veil adorned with pearls, which both spoke to the collection’s romantic elements and played up the idea of dressing as a kind of armor.
