The Lafayette community has been eagerly waiting to see what would be opening in place of Mr. C’s Landing. Good News, the wait is finally over and ‘Bushido’ has taken over the space located at 5741 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA 70503 right by the Acadiana mall.
It turns out the rumors were true after all. People within the ‘Foodies of Lafayette’ had speculated that a Japanese Buffet would be taking the place of Mr. C’s, and they were right. Bushido is an all-you-can-eat-and-drink Japanese restaurant that is set to open before Mother’s Day if everything goes according to plan.
All-you-can-eat style restaurants are a concept Lafayette is very familiar with however, all you can drink? Now, that almost seems too good to be true, so we decided to take a look at the menu before we got our hopes up.
Did Someone Say All You Can DRINK?!
Well, folks, there really is an all-you-can-drink option for those 21 and up, and it’s only $9.99. Here’s how it works: You must purchase one of the all-you-can-eat options. Lunch is $18.99, and dinner is $29.99. When you do the math, that’s a great deal if you have an appetite and need your thrust quenched.
Your drink options range from beer and wine to hot or cold sake and, of course, cocktails like lemon drops and frozen margaritas.
The All You Can Eat Menu Has It All
Bushitos covered all their bases when it comes to their food menu too. They offer everything from chef-special sushi rolls, ramen, Korean BBQ, and hibachi.
If you do manage to save room for dessert, choose from red bean, green tea, vanilla, or strawberry ice cream.
When Does Bushido Open?
They have plans to open this weekend before Mother’s day. There is not an official opening time or date so make sure to check out their facebook for more details.
Original Story
Mr. C’s Landing was located in front of the Acadiana mall in Lafayette, Louisiana. They have officially closed their doors and now the community is eager to see what will take it’s place, pun intended.
When we asked our listeners what restaurants they would like to have come to town we were not expecting to find out what will actually be replacing Mr.C’s.
Here’s What is Actually Replacing Mr. C’s Landing in Lafayette
According to Earnest Toussaint III, he stopped in to inquire about purchasing some of the garden animals out front for his wife when he ran into the owner inside. The owner sadly informed Mr. Earnest that the animals were not for sale but that there will be a new restaurant taking over the building.
Mr. Chen is the former owner of Mr. C’s Landing and will also be the owner of the new restaurant that is currently in the works as we speak.
They are currently in the middle of remodeling the building and rumor has it that it will soon be the home of a Japanese buffet.
Alyssa Trahan commented a photo of what appears to be Samurai mural so maybe the rumors are true after all?
