SABIN, Minn. — Bloomfield Garden Center wanted to do something special for its customers as they business celebrates 50 years.

You can now get 50% off plants and flowers from the popular greenhouse.

Located on County Road 11, just north of Sabin, it’s been a family run and owned business since 1974.

Owners Charlie and Shelly Pingel say they’re passionate about gardening and family.

“In the future, kind of hoping that, you know, we can pass this down from generation to generation, and then maybe my kids someday will appreciate it and see all the hard work that’s been put in over the years and the fruits of our labor,” Charlie Pingel said.

Combining the two is what the 50th anniversary celebration is all about.

They say there aren’t a lot of landmarks nearby, but you can’t miss the big gnome.

“We definitely have our loyal fans. I mean, there’s people that they come every year. Some once a week. They come and just do little by little. Some come with a giant wagon full,” Shelly Pingel said.
