Google’s Creator Labs and Aperture announce the 2024 Creator Labs Photo Fund

The 2024 Creator Labs Photo Fund, created to financially support artists at pivotal moments in their careers, is made possible thanks to the collaboration between Google’s Creator Labs and Aperture. Since its founding in 1952, Aperture has championed photography’s role in fostering curiosity and promoting a just society. A collaboration between Google and SN37, Creator Labs selects photographers and filmmakers who create compelling visual narratives with authenticity, all using Google Pixel.

Now in its third year (here you can read about the past edition’s winners), this initiative will award grants to thirty artists for work created in the last three years. Photographers and lens-based artists residing in the United States are invited to apply. Thirty selected artists will receive $6,000 each and a Google Pixel 8a device, with their work featured on aperture.org and Aperture’s social media channels.

Artists who wish to apply must submit 8 to 10 images from a cohesive body of work that reflects a strong, original vision. Applicants will be judged on the quality and uniqueness of their work, not on past experience, publications, or exhibition history.

The call for entries for the 2024 Creator Labs Photo Fund opens on June 18, 2024, with a submission deadline of July 15, 2024. Winners will be announced in September 2024.
