“The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon dedicated a chunk of his Monday night monologue to mocking Donald Trump’s mandatory interview with a probation officer following his hush money conviction.
The virtual meeting “got off to a rough start when Trump offered the probation officer $130,000,” Fallon joked, referring to the covered-up hush money payout from the former president to porn actor Stormy Daniels that was a key element to the trial.
Being over video call was great for the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Fallon added, because it meant his lawyer “could hit mute whenever he started talking.”
Fallon then conducted a spoof interview with Trump in which he used previous comments the ex-POTUS made to answer his questions.
In the parody bit, Trump revealed where he’d like to spend house arrest and what he’d say after a potential first night behind bars.
Fallon also got in a jab at Trump’s sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., with a question about what the former president would trade in prison.
