Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series at the upcoming Unpacked event which is rumoured to take place in Paris on July 10.
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch series has a huge role in popularising WearOS-powered smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch usually consists of two models, but it looks like this year, Samsung is working on an ‘Ultra’ variant, completely different from the circle-shaped smartwatches we all know and love.
According to a recently leaked render by SmartPrix, in collaboration with the known tipster OnLeaks, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have a squarish outer frame around a circular display. While the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra does not look as squarish as the Apple Watch Ultra, it does make it stand out from other products available in the market.

However, the display might be the same size as the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, measuring approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. The renders also suggest that the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have an additional third button, which might offer additional functionality, similar to how the Action Button does on the Apple Watch Ultra.
The report also suggests that the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have more integrated watch bands with two button-like elements at the top and bottom, which could be used to attach and detach bands similar to the Apple Watch Ultra and the Pixel Watch.
Some other rumours suggest that the Galaxy Watch 7 series will be powered by a new chipset, charge faster and may bring blood sugar-monitoring functionality. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series alongside two new foldables at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumoured to take place in Paris on July 10.
