TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A new cruise ship has arrived in Tampa.
Margaritaville at Sea’s Islander arrived at Port of Tampa Bay for the first time on Monday morning.
Before heading to Tampa, the ship underwent extensive renovations while it was docked in Ireland.
The Islander will sail on its inaugural voyage on June 14, sailing on a four-night cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. In the future, it will sail on four and five-night cruises.
The ship can hold 2,650 passengers and has 12 decks.
The Islander is the company’s second ship. The Paradise launched in 2022 and sails from the Port of Palm Beach.
