Pledis Entertainment‘s visual director recently shared a post on social media revealing she has resigned from the position after working 2 years with the company.
The former visual director explained, “After working at Pledis for two years, I resigned and came to the U.S. for a trip. I’m quite exhausted, so I plan to rest and work as a freelancer. I am grateful to the staff, team members, and members I worked with over the past two years, and I will be cheering for you all!”
The director added, “I am a creator who focuses on planning and visual creation. I do not get involved in member combinations or self-produced content. I don’t have the time or energy for that. Please stop sending excessive comments, DMs, and emails telling me that I’m gross or disgusting. This is a warning,” revealing she resigned after suffering malicious comments from fans.
Korean netizens shared their two cents on this matter and criticized the extreme fans who sent the visual director unreasonable attacks and malicious comments. They commented:
“Yikes, they sent those things to the visual director too?”
“Wow, such crazy extreme fans.”
“I wish people would send comments and DM after knowing what they do first… first of all, this visual director does work but they need to get approval to do anything.”
“Why are they talking about their self-produced content to the visual director?”
“They are sending these to an ordinary person without fear…”
“Why do they talk about these things to the visual director?”
“I guess there are a lot of people who don’t know anything.”
“What’s with all the people sending malicious DMs when the visual director left because they were having a hard time?”
“Can you call the fans who complain about member combination real fans?”
“Why are people like that?”
“Entertainment industry workers get PTSD.”
