Prime Video Announces Season 3 of Hit Italian Food & Travelogue Series – The Euro TV Place
Prime Video has announced the start of production on Season 3 of the hit Italian food and travelogue series Dinner Club.
Dinner Club is an entertaining, humor-filled series that introduces viewers, as well as the show’s talent, to foods and traditions from various parts of Italy. So, hooray that the acclaimed series is returning with a third season. (I really enjoyed the first two.)
Once again fronted by chef and TV personality Carlo Cracco (Masterchef Italia, Hell’s Kitchen Italia), who has led Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy, the new season will see actors Christian De Sica (Mozart in the Jungle), Emanuela Fanelli (No Activity: Italy), and Rocco Papaleo (No Activity: Italy) join Cracco on travels around Italy to experience some of the country’s local delicacies. Afterward, each traveler will return to the Dinner Club house, where they will prepare, with Cracco’s help, some of those dishes for the group, which also includes special guest stars Antonio Albanese (Mom or Dad?) and Sabrina Ferilli (Wake Up My Love) — both of whom appeared in an earlier season(s) of the series — in Season 3.
Season 1 of Dinner Club features actors Diego Abatantuono (Mediterraneo), Fabio De Luigi (The Worst Week of My Life), Pierfrancesco Favino (Angels & Demons), Luciana Littizzetto (Foodie Love), Valerio Mastandrea (The Vertical Line), and Ferilli discovering incredible Italian dishes and traditions with Cracco during trips to off-the-beaten-path places along the Po River, in the Puglia and Basilicata regions and the Cilento region in southern Italy, the coastal area of Maremma in western central Italy, and in Sicily and Sardinia, the first and second largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
In Season 2, Cracco’s foodie travel companions are actors Paola Cortellesi (Petra), Marco Giallini (Rocco Schiavone), Luca Zingaretti (Detective Montalbano), and Albanese, who join him in eating their way through the mountainous area of La Sila in Calabria in southern Italy, the historical region of Romagna in north-central Italy, the province of South Tyrol between the borders of Austria and Switzerland in northern Italy, and Sicily, before returning to the Dinner Club house to chat, laugh, cook for, and break bread with their fellow dinner clubbers, including Ferilli and Littizzetto from Season 1.
Produced by Banijay Italia for Amazon MGM Studios, Season 3 of Dinner Club will be available exclusively on Prime Video worldwide (date tba). Stay tuned for updates.
