River View graduate returns to the area and joins local company

There is a new face at Saylor Wealth Strategies in both the Newcomerstown and Coshocton locations.Shelby Byland recently joined the team. She has more than two years of experience in the financial services industry and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Marietta College. Byland is coming back to the community she loves after working for Northwestern Mutual in Columbus.

“I am from Coshocton, Ohio, where I attended River View Local Schools. After spending a year in Columbus, I gained a deeper appreciation for the unique atmosphere and the genuine warmth of the people in our community,” she said. “What drew me back was a sentiment shared by (Superintendent Church) Rinkes during my high school graduation. He emphasized the importance of giving back to the community that nurtured us as we pursued higher education and acquired valuable skills.”Byland was studying environmental science at Marietta when during a summer banking job she found she has a natural aptitude for numbers. It was during an internship at Northwestern Mutual that she discovered financial planning.“We are thrilled to welcome Shelby to our team,” said Art Saylor, owner of Saylor Wealth Strategies. “She possesses the expertise and dedication necessary to support our clients and help them achieve their financial goals. Shelby’s knowledge and leadership abilities will be invaluable as we continue to expand our services and uphold our commitment to excellence.”
