Sam Mendes’ biopic of The Beatles already has its 4 lead actors – Softonic

We are in the era of musical biopics, and no one is exempt from this trend. Ever since Bohemian Rhapsody was a hit at the Oscars, there have been countless proposals, including Rocketman, Elvis, and the recent adaptations of the lives of Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, and Michael Jackson. So, of course, it was only a matter of time before it was The Beatles’ turn.

The Fab Four from Liverpool are probably the most important group in the history of music, and it’s Sam Mendes, the director of 1917, American Beauty, and the latest James Bond films, who has taken the lead on this project. Now, as reported by Discussing Film, the four main characters are already confirmed. There is no official notification yet, but everything seems to indicate that the decision has been made.

A dream cast

If everything goes as announced, the four protagonists will be Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw, Triangle of Sadness), Paul Mescal (Gladiator 2, Normal People), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin) and Charlie Rowe (Gigi & Nate, Red Band Society). These actors couldn’t be in a better moment of their careers, and this movie could elevate them even more.

It appears Harris Dickinson will be John Lennon, Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr, and Charlie Rowe will portray George Harrison. We still don’t know much about the movie, but if all that is rumored is true, this will be a top-notch biopic that is likely to appear at all the awards.

After 1917, a film in which he demonstrated impressive talent, Sam Mendes joins a trend that’s becoming more and more common, but seems to have no end. It is true that films of this style are increasingly less recognized. However, The Beatles are timeless, and in this case they might reach much higher levels.
