Shhh! Universal Orlando Resort announces ‘A Quiet Place’ haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights

ORLANDO, Fla. – It will be hard to contain screams at one Halloween Horror Nights house despite the name.

Universal Orlando Resort shared details of its first IP haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights 2024. Paramount Pictures’ critically acclaimed film series “A Quiet Place” will come to life starting Aug. 30.

Directed by John Krasinski, “A Quiet Place” and “A Quiet Place Part II” follow the Abbott family as they try to survive the aftermath of sightless creatures with a sharp sense of hearing that draws them to prey on anything that makes the slightest noise. The World’s Premier Halloween Event will also come on the heels of the theatrical release of the prequel “A Quiet Place: Day One” this summer.

According to Universal, the haunted houses will mirror the silence of the film to capture the unique sound design, special effects, and performances of the scareactors. Consequential to the storyline, Halloween Horror Nights will incorporate the use of American Sign Language (ASL) within the “A Quiet Place” haunted houses to capture the authenticity of the films.

Halloween Horror Nights is starting earlier than ever this year and will run 48 select nights. This year’s chilling new collection of horrifying experiences will include 10 all-new movie-quality and original story-themed haunted houses. Guests can also encounter five scare zones and between the screams, enjoy a live show and fuel up on food and beverages inspired by the event.

Select tickets are available for purchase, including single-night tickets, Express Passes, the R.I.P Tour, which provides front-of-the-line access to the haunted houses, and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour that offers a glimpse into how the scares are brought to life via a daytime, lights-on journey through select haunted house.

Tickets are also on sale for Premium Scream Night which will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29.
