For the 24th time, classic cars will drive through downtown Riverside in what organizers are billing as Riverside County’s biggest car show.
The 24th Annual Show and Go Car Show for Charity is set for Saturday, May 4.
The event is hosted by the Riverside East Rotary Club and produced by the Old Farts Racing Team.
Car designer and TV personality Chip Foose, of television’s “Overhaulin’,” is scheduled to appear at the event.
The show is expected to feature 1,000 classic cars, hot rods, imports and motorcycles cruising down Market Street and Main Street, between 14th Street and Mission Inn Avenue.
Online registration ends Friday, April 26. Vehicles also may register at the site starting at 7 a.m. on the day of the event until slots sell out. Registration is $60 per vehicle.
Show and Go is free for spectators.
Free giveaways and promotions will be at the corner of 12th and Market streets, where exhibits and food booths will be set up.
The show includes open-header cruising, a Best of Show award, Top 40 trophies and specialty picks. The Boy Scouts will stage a fundraising pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., while Rotary will offer a beer garden. The Grand Marshal’s Parade is set for 12:30 p.m.
Since 1999, the Riverside East Rotary Club has donated more than $600,000 from the show to charity.
