Simon Dominic leaves AOMG after a decade

Simon Dominic, also known as Sam D, has decided to part ways with AOMG, concluding his exclusive contract with the label. According to a report by SpotvNews on April 22, the rapper has officially ended his tenure with the company.

Simon Dominic has been a defining figure at AOMG since its inception. Founded by Jay Park in 2013, Dominic joined the label in 2014 and served as co-CEO until 2018, representing AOMG as one of its most prominent artists for ten years. His departure marks a significant shift, especially as AOMG has recently seen several key artists leave, including Gray, Woo Won Jae, Lee Hi, and Code Kunst, following the resignation of CEO DJ Pumpkin.

AOMG has acknowledged the ongoing separation process with Simon Dominic, stating, “We mutually agreed to conclude our artist contract with Simon Dominic in February and are currently in the process of finalizing the details. Both parties will continue to operate diligently as a label and artist until everything is settled.”

Simon Dominic began his career in 2005 and gained fame as part of the duo Supreme Team in 2007. He is now celebrated as a leading figure in the Korean hip-hop scene. Aside from his music career, he has been active in various television shows such as “Witch Hunt,” “Somebody,” “I Live Alone,” “Show Me the Money,” and “High School Rapper.” He also participated in the project group MSG Wannabe on the show “Hangout with Yoo.”
