Three students hospitalized after Greensville County school bus crashes

GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Three Greensville County Public Schools students were hospitalized Thursday afternoon after the school bus they were riding home was involved in a crash.

In a May 23 press release, the school division reported that school bus #32 was involved in a crash near Massey Branch Road that same afternoon.

Six students on their way home after school were on the bus at the time of the crash. Three of them have been hospitalized and three were released to their parents.

The condition of the bus driver, or any other people potentially involved in the incident, was not included in the release.

“We are in the process of collaborating with local law enforcement to determine the cause of the accident,” the release reads. “We will follow up with additional information as it becomes available.”

No other information has been provided by the school division as of the time of reporting.

About two months ago, three Greensville school buses — #2, #20 and #32 — were involved in a chain reaction-style crash outside of Greensville Elementary School. No students were seriously injured in that crash.
