Tom Ford’s ‘vacation in a bottle’ perfume now priced at £31

Shoppers are raving over a ‘beach vacation in a bottle’ scent from Tom Ford and it’s now dropped dramatically in price.

Eau de Soleil Blanc is the most summery scent from the brand and it’s now 15% off on LookFantastic. Eau de Soleil Blanc is an Amber Floral fragrance that’s made with both women and men in mind. Eau de Soleil Blanc was launched in 2018.

It opens up with citrus-heavy notes of bitter orange, neroli, bergamot and citron. The opening notes also include pistachio, petitgrain, cardamom, pink pepper and caraway which softens it out.

The heart dives right into floral notes with tuberose, Tunisian orange blossom, ylang-ylang, jasmine and galbanum. It’s the base that smells ‘like a holiday’ with the classic combination of Coconut and Tonka Bean alongside vanilla, benzoin and amber.

It’s even won over celebrity fans. Molly-Mae said: “Something about this scent… it’s just stunning. It gives holiday evening, going out for dinner after a day of sunbathing.”

Molly-Mae isn’t the only fan of the scent, hundreds of fragrance buffs are raving about it on perfume review site Fragrantica. One said: “As a great admirer of tropical scents, Eau de Soleil Blanc has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. It beautifully captures the feeling of a white-sand beach and, in turn, the essence of summer.

“The effortless fusion of pistachio and coconut is, in my humble opinion, what makes this fragrance a winner. Not least because these two notes are among my favourite when used in fragrances and in real life as well. The other notes, including the various citruses and flowers, only substantiate ESB’s tropical qualities.”

A second penned: “A beach vacation in a bottle. I love it. Very ‘Miami rich girl’. Smells like lots of cash and tanning lotion. Peach bellinis, tan lines, toasted pistachios, creamy coconut and a bottle of chilled Bollinger. My favourite from Tom Ford. I love it on my body, so dreamy, like being on a fluffy cloud, very ethereal. I don’t think this needs any layering, it’s perfect just the way it is.”

A third added: “This is the beach in a bottle for me. The opening is very solar and ozonic mixed with coconut and powder. Expensive sunscreen or spa day at the beach. Laying out with sun bum and baby oil lathered on. The dry down is more powdery, and hints of the other scents do remain noticeable. Longevity, for me, is 4-5 hours and 1-2 days on clothes. It smells quite expensive and makes me smile every time I use it or pick it up to sniff it.”

However, some shoppers have suggested that the scent reminds them of ‘an expensive sunscreen,’ which is worth keeping in mind.

If you like the idea of this type of summery scent but find you often like something a little saltier, then Juliette Has a Gun’s Vanilla Vibes is a great option, even the bottle design gives you the impression of being at the beach. You can get Eau de Soleil Blanc from £31.45 on LookFantastic.
