Paul Nutting Jr. watched today as a crew from the Crosby Yacht Yard in Osterville unpacked the Victura at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum today for its annual summer stay there.
The 25-foot Wianno Senior sloop, which JFK’s parents bought as a 15th-birthday present for him, became the future president’s favorite sailboat – in which he won races and taught wife Jackie how to sail, according to a history of the boat by the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum.
The sloop overwinters at the Crosby boatyard.
