Ohio studio releasing 45-minute Noem documentary

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A 45-minute documentary on Republican Gov. Kristi Noem will be released on social media Thursday night.

The life and political journey of South Dakota’s first female governor will be highlighted by filmmaker Shawn Rech and Cleveland, Ohio-based Transition Studios. Last week, Transition Studios released a trailer video on X.

On Tuesday, a news release from Transition Studios said the full documentary, called “America’s Governor: The Kristi Noem Story,” will be released on X at 5 p.m. Thursday.

“Through exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and personal anecdotes, America’s Governor offers a never-before-seen glimpse into the life and achievements of this extraordinary woman,” the news release said.

Transition Studios says the documentary shares stories that people have heard in Noem’s previous two books “Not My First Rodeo” and “No Going Back.”

According to Transition Studios website, other films produced include “A Murder in the Park,” “White Boy: A documentary,” and “Convicting a Murderer.”

Noem is in the middle of her second term as South Dakota’s governor, that will end in January 2027. She’s previously served as a state lawmaker and representing South Dakota in the U.S. House of Representatives.
